		<description>Good points, all 'round. I've also felt similarly uncompelled (discompelled?) to join the SMPR debate, though Chris Heuer is MAD about it. I just don't think it matters. I'm of the "use = ROI" school; if the SMPR makes life easier, it will be adopted.

One thing I'd love to see more of (and I've posted on this before) is PR agencies putting out web releases that um, actually have links to the companies they're promoting. It's not a lot to ask.</description>

PR, MASS Advertising, Direct Mail, Word of Mouth, even Event marketers are all claiming the web as their futures. And they are 100% right. 

Interactive marketers and developers have known this for over a decade, and bless the rest for finally catching on! I welcome them with open arms.

 We all need bit of reality check. The convergence of our disciplines will cause some excitement, and a another growth spurt.The people that have been using this medium for over a decade have to teach this new generation of go getters how we blew it in the 1990's, so they don't do it again.
